Presiden Imbau Warga Di Papua Antisipasi Fitnah

SWARNANEWS.CO.ID, BOGOR | Presiden Joko Widodo mengimbau seluruh masyarakat di Papua saling menahan diri dan tidak terhasut oleh isu-isu fitnah dan kabar bohong.

“Seluruh masyarakat tetap tenang, menahan diri dan menghindarkan dari semua provokasi-provokasi dan fitnah-fitnah yang kita lihat di media sosial begitu sangat banyaknya isu-isu yang ditebarkan,” kata Presiden dalam jumpa pers di Istana Kepresidenan Bogor, pada Senin (30/09/2019).

Presiden menjelaskan ada sejumlah pengungsi, diantaranya warga pendatang, yang dievakuasi ke Jayapura. Presiden mengimbau warga untuk tidak keluar dari Wamena karena aparat keamanan terus berjaga.

Menurut Presiden, kepala suku yang ada di Lembah Baliem juga telah mengajak dan mengimbau seluruh warga untuk tidak mengungsi dari Wamena. Aparat keamanan juga terus bertugas melindungi seluruh masyarakat.

Kepala Negara menjelaskan kerusuhan yang terjadi di Wamena diduga dilakukan oleh kelompok kriminal bersenjata. “Jadi jangan ada yang menggeser-geser menjadi seperti sebuah konflik etnis, itu bukan. Ini adalah kelompok kriminal bersenjata yang dari atas di gunung turun ke bawah dan melakukan pembakaran-pembakaran rumah warga,” tegas Jokowi.

Presiden juga telah memerintahkan Menko bidang Politik Hukum dan Keamanan Wiranto serta Kapolri Jenderal Tito Karnavian dan Panglima TNI Marsekal Hadi Tjahjanto untuk menangkap semua perusuh.

Selain itu Kepala Negara menyampaikan ucapan belasungkawa atas wafatnya sejumlah korban akibat insiden kerusuhan di Wamena yang berjumlah 33 orang. (*)
