Herman Deru Sambangi Peternak Ikan Cupang

SWARNANEWS.CO.ID, PALEMBANG – Selain gemar blusukan, pergi mendadak ke berbagai tempat yang di luar jadwal protokol adalah salah satu kebiasaaan lain Gubernur Sumsel H. Herman Deru yang jarang diketahui banyak orang.

Seperti saat Ia Kunker meresmikan perbaikan Jalan Merah Mata Raya, Kabupaten Banyuasin, Jumat (22/01/2021) siang,  sebelum meninggalkan perbatasan Banyuasin-Palembang HD tiba-tiba memutuskan mengunjungi salah satu pelaku budidaya ikan cupang yang lagi booming saat ini.

Ia mengajak serta Bupati Banyuasin H. Askolani yang kebetulan masih dalam satu rangkaian menemui pemilik Galeri Ikan Cupang Riio Betta Wong yang berlokasi di Jalan Padat Karya, Kecamatan Sematang Borang.

Kedatangan HD dan rombongan bukan hanya untuk melihat cara pemilik galeri membudidayakan ikan yang dibanderol dengan harga cukup mahal tersebut. Lebih dari itu HD mengaku hadir untuk memberikan semangat kepada pelaku usaha kreatif yang masih berjuang melawan pandemi Covid 19.

” Saya senang meninjau usaha kreatif di Galeri Ikan Cupang ini. Kreatif sekali, teruslah berkarya bila perlu jadilah inspirasi bagi yang lainnya agar tidak menyerah saat pandemi,” ujar HD menyemangati.

Menurutnya meski belum terlalu besar, Ia sangat menghargai usaha-usaha yang dilakukan para pehobi maupun pelaku budidaya ikan cupang. Karena dengan mengandalkan pengetahuan dan keinginan pasar yang ada, budidaya ikan yang sedang digandrungi ini bisa menjadi usaha baru yang menjanjikan bahkan bisa menjadi mata pencaharian baru.

” Tetap berbuat itu yang paling penting. Saya harap kreativitas seperti ini bisa memotivasi yang lain. Sehingga kita semua tidak menyerah dengan pandemi. Ini kreatif di saat semua orang harus banyak berdiam di rumah karena pandemi, usaha ikan cupang dan aqua scape tentu diminati” ujarnya.

Dalam kunjungan singkatnya itu, HD tampak serius menggali informasi dari pemilik galeri. Selain teknik menghasilkan ikan-ikan cupang yang memukau, HD juga banyak bertanya mengenai harga dan pemasaran ikan cupang.

Dijelaskan HD budidaya ikan hias ini sangat beraneka ragam mulai dari lokal, antar daerah bahkan antar negara. Sehingga sangat potensial dikembangkan oleh masyarakat Sumsel sebagai jenis usaha yang tak kalah menjanjikan dengan jenis usaha lainnya.

Seperti diketahui ikan-ikan kecil tersebut dibanderol dengan harga cukup tinggi mulai dari Rp350.000 hingga Rp3,5 juta perekor.
