SWARNANEWS.CO.ID, OKUT | Kali ini Kabupaten OKU Timur kembali harum setelah dua finalis Lomba Literasi Sains Sebagai peserta terbaik dalam Festival Literasi Sumsel 2022, Sabtu 5 November 2022 bertempat Dinning Hall Jakabaring Sport City.
Kepala Dinas Perpustakaan dan Arsip Sopian Hadi mengatakan ini cukup membanggakan, karena dua anak pelajar kita sebagai pemenang juara pertama dan juara harapan dua.
“Kerja keras kita tidak sia-sia, mereka kader-kader emas OKU Timur, inovasinya sangat inovatif dan bermanfaat untuk masyarakat umum,” katanya.
Literasi sains ini merupakan lomba membuat sesuatu yang bermanfaat dari barang bekas atau mengelola barang bekas menjadi yang bermanfaat.
Sementara itu pemenang pertama lomba literasi sains Annisa Wahyu Nur Laili mengungkapkan rasa gembiranya telah menjadi pemenang pertama lomba literasi sains kategori pelajar.
“Sempet deg-degan sebelum dipanggil dan paparan ide inovasi ini melihat di Youtube dengan metode ATM yaitu Amati Tiru dan Modifikasi terciptalah barang bermanfaat dari olahan bahan bekas,” katanya.
Siawa SMA 1 Belitang ini menampilkan lampu hias dari limbah sabut kelapa.
Sementara tim SMA 1 Buay Madang yaitu Karania, Aryusuta Rahima Ramadhani serta Amelia Marta Suci Lestari, juga merasa bangga dengan inovasi mereka yang menang meskipun harapan dua.
Karina mengatakan, ide inovasi ini diambil dari literasi buku yang ada di perpustakaan sekolah yaitu membuat sandal dari limbah kantong plastik bekas.
“Kami membuat ini melihat banyaknya kantong plastik di pasar Buay Madang. Melihat ini kami mempunyai ide untuk memanfaatkan kantong plastik menjadi barang yang bermanfaat,” katanya. (*)
