Bakar Lahan untuk Ditanami Pisang, Lansia Diamankan Petugas

SWARNANEWS.CO.ID, KAYUAGUNG – Jajaran Polres OKI kembali mengamankan pelaku yang melakukan pembakaran lahan untuk membuka lahan perkebunan.

Adapun pelakunya Hayati (65), warga Dusun 1 Desa Air Itam, Kecamatan Jejawi, Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI).

Dijelaskan Kapolres OKI AKBP Dili Yanto SH MH melalui Kasat Reskrim AKP Jatrat Tunggal SIk dan Kanit Pidsus Iptu M Wahyudi SH. Pelaku ini telah melakukan pembukaan lahan dengan cara membakar. Lahan setelah dibakar akan digunakan untuk bertanam pisang.

“Aksi pelaku melakukan membuka lahan dengan cara membakar Sabtu 16 September kemarin pada siang hari sekira pukul 12.00 WIB,” ujar Kanit Pidsus, M Wahyudi, Senin 18 September 2023.

Selanjutnya, saat itu ada anggota Polsek Jejawi sedang melakukan patroli. Pada saat itu ada warga yang sedang melakukan pemadaman api di lahan milik warga.

Lalu, dibantu pemadaman api. Api telah membakar lahan sekitar 1/4 hektar. Kemudian api padam.

“Barulah anggota menanyakan kepada warga, apa penyebab lahan tersebut terbakar. Ternyata lahan itu dibakar pelaku dengan menggunakan korek api gas,” terang Wahyudi.

Dikatakan Kanit Pidsus, dari keterangan pelaku, lahan milik pelaku ini sebelumnya telah dikumpulkan ranting kayu dan rumput tebasan yang telah dibersihkan sejak tahun lalu.

“Nah rupanya ranting kayu dan tebasan rumput dikumpul dan ditumpuk oleh pelaku. Lalu Sabtu kejadian kemarin dibakatnya dengan korek api gas,” katanya.

Lalu, dikatakan Wahyudi, api yang membakar ranting kayu dan rumput menyebar di areal lahan karena hembusan angin. Sehingga api membesar dan tidak bisa dipadamkan. Pelaku sempat memadamkan dengan 2 botol air minum.

Kebakaran lahan terus berlanjut karena sudah membesar, sehingga membuat pelaku memanggil warga untuk memadamkan. Kemudian diketahui anggota Polsek Jejawi yang sedang patroli, lalu dibantu memadamkan api.

“Lahan milik pelaku ini 1 hektar yang terbakar seluas 1/4 hektar dan rencananya oleh pelaku hendak ditanami pisang,” ucapnya.

Kanit pidsus mengatakan, atas perbuatan pelaku akhirnya diamankan. Dimana Pasal yang disangkakan Pasal 108 jo pasal 69 ayat (1) huruf b UU No 32 Tahun 2009 tentang perlindungan dan pengelolaan lingkungan hidup.

“Ancaman untuk pelaku ini pidana penjara paling singkat 3 tahun dan paling lama 10 tahun dengan denda Rp 4 Miliar paling sedikit dan Rp 10 Miliar paling banyak,” pungkasnya.

Sementara pelaku Hayati (65), pembakar lahan untuk lahan berkebun diamankan Polres OKI. (*)
