Pasutri ini juga menaruh dedikasi tinggi karena bisa menafkahi dan menyekolahkan ke-16 anaknya dan semuanya penghafal alquran.
“Alhamdulillah semua sudah sekolah dari yang kecil sudah SD sampai yang tua sudah lulus kuliah. Mereka juga hafal alquran, ada yang sampai 30 juz,” kata Kamaruddin kepada detikcom, Selasa (8/3/2022).
“Insyaallah anak ke-2, 3 dan 4 selesai kuliah tahun 2022 ini. Kalau anak ke 5 sedang kuliah masih lama selesai. Kalau anak pertama sudah selesai tahun 2020 lalu,” paparnya.
Kamaruddin mengungkapkan ke semua anaknya bisa mengenyam pendidikan lanjut karena berprestasi. Semua anaknya mampu memperoleh beasiswa dari berbagai sumber.
“Anak-anak yang kuliah semua gratis SPP dan penginapan, alhamdulillah mereka dapat beasiswa untuk kuliah,” ujarnya.

Satu kesyukuran yang tiada tara bagi Kamaruddin, terutama karena ke-16 anak-anaknya bisa menghafal alquran. Ia mengaku bangga memiliki anak-anak penghafal alquran yang mana ada yang hafal 1 juz dan ada juga yang menghafal alquran hingga 30 juz.
“Saya masukkan anak-anakku di pesantren penghafal alquran. Anak pertama, kedua dan ketiga mereka 30 juz, ada 15 juz ada yang 10 juz, 5 juz,” paparnya.
Kamaruddin mengatakan, cita-cita mulia anaknya penghafal alquran turun dari sang istri. Ia mengungkapkan istrinya merupakan lulusan pesantren.
Namun, saat mondok sang istri tidak bisa menyelesaikan hafalannya. Sehingga, sang istri mengidam-idamkan anak-anaknya bisa menjadi penghapal alquran.
“Istri saya anak pesantren, dulu dia sibuk urus keluarga ustadzahnya, makanya dia tidak bisa selesaikan. Dia langsung berdoa agar anak-anaknya bisa kadi hafidz,” beber dia.
Diberitakan sebelumnya, Kamaruddin dan Najrah merupakan warga Desa Katoi, Kecamatan Katoin, Kabupaten Kolaka Utara, Sultra. Pasutri yang menikah pada umur 28 dan 20 tahun ini merupakan pasutri asal Kabupaten Pangkep, Sulawesi Selatan (Sulsel) yang merantau ke Kolaka Utara.
Kamaruddin merupakan seorang aparatur sipil negara (ASN) pemerintah Kolaka Utara. Sehari-hari ia bekerja sebagai seorang guru SD Negeri 1 Katoi, Kecamatan Katoi, Kolaka Utara, Sultra sejak tahun 2000.
Sedangkan sang istri merupakan seorang ibu rumah tangga yang sehari-harinya berperan mengasuh 16 orang anak-anaknya selama Kamarudin bekerja. Kamaruddin diketahui mempersunting sang istri pada Januari tahun 1996 silam.
Keduanya mulai memiliki anak saat usia pernikahan 10 bulan, sedangkan anak paling bontot lahir pada Desember 2015 lalu. 16 Orang anak Kamaruddin dan Najrah ini diketahui lahir dalam kurun waktu selama 25 tahun dengan jarak bervariasi.
Ke-16 anak Kamaruddin di antaranya Nurfaaiqah lahir tahun 1996, Dhiyaa Fakhria lahir tahun 1998, Muhammad Mufassir lahir tahun 1999, Rizky Amaliah lahir tahun 2000, Sitti Atiyya lahir tahun 2002, Ainul Mardhiyah lahir tahun 2003 dan Abdullah Azzam lahir tahun 2004.
Selanjutnya Abdurrahman An Nawawi lahir tahun 2006, Abdurrahim As Suyuti lahir tahun 2007, Khalisatul Fikriah lahir tahun 2009, Muhammad Ainur Rafiq lahir tahun 2010, Fakhrul Islam lahir tahun 2011, Rifyatul Azizah lahir tahun 2012.
Sedangkan 3 anak terakhir bernama Nazirah Syauqiyatul Jannah lahir tahun 2013, Auliyaa Rahman lahir tahun 2014, Zayyan Aqif Rahmani lahir tahun 2015.
